9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (check in begins at 8:45 AM)
UCSB North Campus Open Space Restoration Planting (6975 Whittier Dr, Goleta)
Worksite Description: Come plant Coastal Sage Scrub, salt marsh and native grasses on the Mesa area. Volunteer work will benefit both wildlife and the community.
Work Includes: 1) Planting small two inch pots of diverse species and 2) Pulling weeds and site clean-up.
Additional Details: Although a family friendly volunteer opportunity the minimum age requirement is 7. All participants are required to sign and return a waiver form. A volunteer appreciation lunch will follow at Oak Park in Santa Barbara starting at 12 noon. Additional details will follow via email in early September.
