- Gallery 1434
Open to the public weekdays from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. during the school year, this gallery features weekly changing exhibits of undergraduate and graduate student artwork. The public is also invited to weekly art openings that are posted on the Art Studio website.

Innovative art, including photographs, woodcuts, quilts, tapestries, and paintings, is on display during the school year. The gallery is open from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Fridays.

- Alexandria Digital Library Project (ADL)
The Alexandria Digital Library (ADL) is a distributed digital library with collections of georeferenced materials. ADL includes the operational library, with various nodes and collections, and the research program through which digital library architectures, gazetteer applications, educational applications, and software components are modeled, prototyped, and evaluated. The data is collected from libraries, academic institutions, private companies, and government agencies for long-term preservation.

- Cheadle Center for Biodiversity and Ecological Restoration (CCBER)
CCBER promotes the teaching of diverse undergraduate courses in EEMB, Environmental Studies, and Geology. It also supports faculty, staff, and student research interests by providing field and lab-based resources. In addition, CCBER houses regionally focused collections of terrestrial plants, algae, and vertebrates, as well as an extensive plant anatomy collection. The Center satisfies the University's obligation to provide stewardship of campus lands, rich in biodiversity. Through the ecological restoration program, the Center encourages land restoration on and near campus. The Kids in Nature outreach program fulfills K-12 educational goals, while staff and faculty curators provide scientific information and advice to private entities. Libraries
- Arts Library
TThe Arts Library houses scholarly collections of over 300,000 volumes on art, architecture, and music, and provides access to dozens of electronic information resources. The music collection contains over 87,000 books and music scores, as well as periodicals, videos, microforms, and over 35,000 sound recordings. The recordings (CDs, LPs, and tapes) are available for in-library listening; videos (VHS and DVD) may be viewed in one of two small-group viewing rooms. Also available for on-campus listening are five online audio databases that comprise thousands of albums of classical, jazz, and traditional music. The art collection contains over 210,000 books, periodicals, exhibition catalogs, artists' books, catalogues raisonné and non-book materials including videos, cd/roms, and extensive holdings of microforms. Available on-campus only is access to thousands of art images, articles, reference works and other scholarly electronic databases. - Davidson Library
UCSB's Davidson Library's extensive resources include specialized databases, rare collections, map rooms, government publications, and much more. Community members can obtain borrowing privileges by purchasing a library card. Some specialized services in the Map and Imagery Lab are available to residents and businesses on a fee basis.

- Resource Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity
The Resource Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity seeks to promote awareness and address the concerns of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and ally community members. - Art Museum Public Programs
The University Art Museum offers interactive guided visits of its permanent collections and special exhibitions to students of all levels. Visits are led by specially trained UCSB student docents and are enhanced by hands-on activities, classroom visits and teacher workshops. Outreach programs, including family events and community collaborations, seek to inspire learning through the arts. The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday from 12 - 5 p.m., (closed Monday, Tuesday and major holidays.) Admission is free.

- Center for Biodiversity and Ecological Restoration
The Center for Biodiversity and Ecological Restoration (CBER), formerly the Museum of Systematics and Ecology (MSE), houses over 100,000 plant and animal specimens in the Herbarium, Vertebrate, Invertebrate Collections and Special Collections. We provide opportunities for K-12 academic preparation through our highly regarded Kids in Nature program and special community education programs including a Monday night Restoration Ecology seminar during the academic year. Public service and professional advising help the Center to fulfill its overall mission of increasing understanding of and preserving biodiversity, and training and educating future scientists to carry out these important activities. We offer occasional tours of the animal, plant and special collections and the restored natural areas we manage on the UCSB campus. Please phone 893-2401 for tour information.

The University Art Museum (UAM) presents throughout the year a wide variety of contemporary, historical, and global art exhibitions of international stature, as well as selections from its own permanent collection of over 8,500 fine artworks. - University Art Museum School Programs
The University Art Museum offers guided visits of its permanent collection galleries and special changing exhibitions to elementary, secondary, high school and university students, as well as after school programs and summer camps. Upon request, tours are available Wednesday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The UAM also provides a special elementary school program that focuses on the primary elements of art, ranging from color, shape and texture to perspective, pattern and movement. smART: Visual Literacy Tours engage students through interactive viewing and discussion and hands-on activities.
