Seniors and their families from South, Carpinteria, Fillmore, and Rio Mesa high schools are invited to attend.
The events include awards presentations; recognition by representatives from the offices of Congresswoman Lois Capps, Congressman Elton Gallegly, State Senator Tony Strickland, and State Assemblyman Das Williams, among others; and student keynote addresses in English and Spanish. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet UCSB faculty and staff members, administrators, alumni, and current undergraduate students.
"This is the eleventh year that EAOP has hosted this event as part of our effort to promote a college-going culture of academic achievement in our partner schools," said Britt Ortiz, EAOP director. "Many of these students will be the first in their families to attend college."
