Local Government The Office of Governmental Relations seeks to be a good neighbor in the local community, works to initiate and maintain relationships with local elected officials and participates in local issues that impact the campus

State Government The Office of Governmental Relations works to initiate, nurture and sustain relationships with state legislators and other elected officeholders in order to promote and garner public support for the University of California’s teaching, research and public service missions.

| Federal Government The Office of Governmental Relations acts as a liaison between the campus and members of Congress, their staff and Executive Branch agencies in order to promote and garner public support for the University of California’s teaching, research and public service missions. |
UCSB Advocacy Network The mission of the UCSB Advocacy Network is to enhance public understanding of and support for the University of California and UC Santa Barbara. The Advocacy Network is comprised of alumni and friends of UCSB who volunteer their time to work with the UCSB Alumni Association and the UCSB Office of Governmental Relations.
