We
invite you to become a partner in innovation at UC Santa Barbara.
Your strong support for The Campaign for UC Santa Barbara will
enable the university to chart a dynamic course with confidence
and to respond to the unparalleled growth of knowledge and changing
needs of society with UCSB's characteristic energy and vision.
Benefits of membership in the gift recognition
societies identified on this page include campus parking privileges,
invitations to special events, VIP seating at commencement, recognition
in the Report of Private Giving, and receipt of university publications.
"UCSB would not be what it is today
without the generous support of our alumni, trustees of the
UC Santa Barbara Foundation, parents and friends," says
Chancellor Henry T. Yang. "Your gifts will ensure the future
quality of this extraordinary university by strengthening what
it does so well and by creating new opportunities for discovery
and innovation."
Gift Recognition Societies
Cumulative Giving
The Lancaster Society is named for Louis and Winifred Lancaster,
civic-minded philanthropists who, during their lifetimes,
helped establish the UC Santa Barbara Foundation and the
Chancellor's Council. Donors in the Lancaster Society (and
higher levels) are honored in various, special ways to
acknowledge their philanthropy, including special events
with the Chancellor.

The Legacy Circle
The Legacy Circle honors donors who have included UC Santa
Barbara in their estate plans through some form of planned
gift. Membership in the society is conferred upon those who
have communicated to the university their intention to make
a gift through a bequest, charitable trust, charitable gift
annuity, pooled income funds, life insurance, retirement fund,
or a gift of property with a retained life estate.
