Alumni,
parents, friends, Trustees of The UCSB Foundation, corporations,
and foundations who have contributed $100,000 or more to the university
over time are recognized as members of the Lancaster Society. Through
their commitment and leadership, these distinguished members of
the Lancaster Society have helped build the university's reputation
for teaching, research, and public service.
The Society is named for Louis and Winifred Lancaster,
civic-minded philanthropists deeply committed to the public partnership
that is the heart of UCSB. During their lifetimes, they helped establish
The UCSB Foundation and the Chancellor's Council, and worked tirelessly
to build meaningful bridges between the university and the larger
community.
Their vision is sustained through the loyal generosity
of today's members of the Lancaster Society, celebrated for their
immeasurable contribution to an enduring foundation for excellence
at UCSB.
