The men's and women's choruses perform "Cantiques," a program of sacred music from the 16th- and 20th-centuries, including early music by Hassler, Arcadelt, Palestrina, Monteverdi and Biebl. They will also present 20th-century works by Thompson, Fauré, Duruflé and Delibes's little-known "Messe Brève." Donation of $7 and $15 at the door.

Nine poets share work that was inspired by interviews with scientists from the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis (NCEAS). The event celebrates "Year of Science 2009," which supports public understanding of the process and nature of science.
