GREEN, CLEAN AWARD: UCSB custodians have received the prestigious Grand Award for their green cleaning practices as part of a contest sponsored by American School & University (AS&U) magazine, The Green Cleaning Network, and the Healthy Schools Campaign. The award was presented at the annual Green Clean Schools National Summit in Washington, D.C. last week, and the campus will be featured in AS&U magazine’s December edition. Showing off their green cleaning products are, from left, custodians Patricia Gonzalez, Raul Cordova, Byron Sandoval, Fabiola Gutierrez, Rodolfo Lua, Blanca Garcia, and Erazmo Zapien. Sandoval is superintendent of custodial services.
