Construction began last Wednesday at the Stadium Road/El Colegio Road intersection and will continue until further notice.

As a result of this construction, vehicles exiting campus via El Colegio Road are being detoured to Mesa Road via Stadium Road. Traffic routes into campus and out of Isla Vista via El Colegio will remain unchanged.

Stadium Road is also closed to southbound traffic at San Clemente Parking Structure 50. Access to Parking Lot 30 and Parking Structure 50 will be maintained at all times.

This work is part of the El Colegio Road Improvement Project, collaboratively designed and funded by UC Santa Barbara and the County of Santa Barbara. Once completed, this boulevard will improve access to and from Isla Vista and UCSB. Project completion is anticipated in June 2009.
