Nominations of UCSB women for the Professional Women’s Association Unsung Heroine awards are now being accepted, according to Andrea Helfer, chair of the group’s Recognition and Awards Committee.

In addition to the nomination, details of which are spelled out at the PWA Web site <www.pwa.ucsb.edu/honorees.php>, an endorsement letter is required from someone other than the nominator. Questions may be addressed to Helfer at x3331.

March 31 at 5 p.m. is the deadline for sending in the nomination package to Helfer at awards@pwa.ucsb.edu. Ten awardees will be announced at the PWA’s annual conference on May 6.

A limited number of scholarships for the conference are available to UCSB staff and students who are PWA members. Application forms can be requested from Helfer at the above e-mail address.
