Sustainability Conference ?Early Bird? Discount Ends at 5 p.m. Today
Today, May 15, is the last day to receive an ?early bird? discount to attend next month?s ?Turning the Tide: Implementing Sustainable Strategies,? a UCSB-hosted, statewide conference to share the best practices for creating sustainable campuses. If registration is completed before 5 p.m. today, participants will save between $50 and $100, depending on whether they register now or at the door for the June 25-28 conference. In addition, the first 159 registrants who are UC staff or faculty can get another $100 discounted from the registration fee, according to the conference Web site. That would bring the fee to $260. At press time, there were still employee discounts available, according to Kate Maynard, UCSB sustainability conference coordinator. Student registration is $150 at the door. Accommodations and meal packages are offered for an additional cost, though Maynard expects these will be most attractive to out-of-town registrants. |
