As hundreds of hungry staff members enjoyed Chancellor Henry Yang’s barbecue on April 20, Staff Assembly co-chairs Greta Halle and Kim Summerfield announced winners of drawings and the 10 people honored with Staff Citation of Excellence Awards (above).

The awardees this year—each received $500—were selected from a pool of 40 nominations, said Summerfield. They ranged from an employee with less than five years of UCSB service to a veteran of 27 years service.

Also recognized at the barbecue were 10 staff members (eight were present) who completed Human Resources’ course in training to become a supervisor. They are shown below with Chancellor Henry Yang.
