With the recent UCSB Canned Food Drive we have seen the strength and heart of the faculty, staff, and students as they responded to the poor and needy in the larger community.

Transportation and Parking Services would like to thank all participants for their generous donations, which amounted to 2,164 pounds of canned food! Through the Food Bank of Santa Barbara County, we were able to help many families and individuals. As we know, needy families and individuals often go without proper food, making children and the elderly the most susceptible to hard times.

We organizers want to extend a special thanks to the faculty members who volunteered their time for this drive, to Director Tom Roberts, and to the parking staff for their determination to make this project a success for a worthy cause.
