The Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award recognizes the contributions of graduate students to the teaching and learning process. The nomination deadline for both awards is Friday, December 12.
The Senate’s Outstanding Graduate Mentor Award honors faculty members whose mentoring is considered exemplary. The nomination deadline is Thursday, February 5.

The Faculty Outreach Grant Program, which is supported by the Chancellor’s Outreach Advisory Board, the Chancellor’s Office, the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor, and the Office of Academic Preparation, seeks to enrich the creativity and quality of K-12 and community college academic preparation programs in the Santa Barbara area. It also enhances the university’s commitment to and engagement with its K-12 partner schools, schools in Santa Barbara County that serve large populations of underrepresented students, and the community colleges in Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo Counties.
All UCSB faculty and staff are eligible to submit proposals, which must be received by the Office of Academic Preparation by 5 p.m. on Friday, February 13. Project awards will range from $2,000 to $20,000, although proposals of up to $40,000 will be considered.
