Publisher to Speak at PWA Conference


Barbara Lanz-Mateo, publisher and founder of Coastal Woman magazine, will be the keynote speaker on May 6 for UCSB’s Professional Women’s Association (PWA) annual conference at Corwin Pavilion. The conference is titled “Remarkable Lives. Remarkable Legacies. What’s Yours?” and seeks to highlight women and careers, health, and community involvement.
Open to the public, the event will begin with a continental breakfast at 8 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. Workshops will focus on a variety of professional and personal development topics designed to enhance work skills.

Founded in 1993, UCSB’s PWA has over 300 members, which include faculty, staff, students, alumni, and affiliate group members of both sexes.
