For the second year, the UCSB Police Department’s Tip-a-Cop benefit for the Special Olympics coincides with the Cinco de Mayo celebration. In partnership with the UCSB Faculty Club, police officers and staff serve tables with the regular waiters on May 5 between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

All tips collected by all the servers will be donated to the local Special Olympics organization. It is UCSBPD’s only annual fundraiser.

The Faculty Club is planning special Mexican fare for the holiday that will include entrees, soups, and desserts.
