Orfalea Family Children’s Center on West Campus—a portion of its play area is seen here with Francisco Torres in the background—has recently won a new, five-year accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The NAEYC’s standards have recently been tightened and made more comprehensive. “NAEYC accreditation confirms the program’s commitment to providing the best care possible for the (150) families we serve,” said Leslie Voss, the center’s director, who adds that she is “very proud” of her staff.
