A reception and forum in the Faculty Club the evening of May 23 will be the only public event in a conference titled “Historical Memories and the Resurgence of Nationalism in Asia: Paths to Reconciliation,” which runs from May 24-25 for invitees only.

At 7 p.m., Gilbert Rozman of Princeton University and Ambassador Kazuhiko Togo, UCSB visiting professor in political science, will discuss peace and stability in East Asia. The forum will be taped for UCTV.
