This year’s campus United Way Campaign will run from Jan. 18 through Feb. 27. Training for department representatives, however, will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 1 p.m., and Thursday, Jan. 11, at 9:30 a.m., in Corwin Pavilion.

Pledges will be accepted online as well as with the paper pledge cards. The UCSB pledge site, which also links to FAQs and the Santa Barbara County United Way, is at <www.ia.ucsb.edu/uw>. Organizers hope to exceed last year’s campus total of $114,000 by $6,000.

“Back again by popular demand are the Valentine’s Day Candy Grams,” says Julie Rasmussen in the Public Events Office, who assists the campus committee in coordinating the drive with United Way. She also notes that this year’s campaign theme is “Make It Personal.”

The candy thank-you notes will be on sale from Jan. 18 through Feb. 5.
