Friday, Oct. 13, proved to be a fine day for the two self-described optimists on stage at Santa Barbara’s Arlington Theatre and the more than 2,000 people who had come to hear former President Bill Clinton, left, and local entrepreneur Paul Orfalea. Their discussion of global issues and how to resolve them inaugurated the Orfalea Center for Global and International Studies. It was broadcast by UCSB radio station KCSB FM and filmed for cablecast on UCTV.
