University Awards Nominees Sought

Faculty, staff, and students are being asked to nominate candidates for UCSB’s upcoming University Awards. The deadline for such nominations is April 10, according to Dean of Students Yonnie Harris.
Among the honors granted—all will go to undergraduate or a graduate students who will receive a degree in the 2005-06 academic year—are the Thomas More Storke, the Jeremy D. Friedman Memorial, and Alyce Marita Whitted Memorial awards.
People can nominate themselves for these and the University Award of Distinction or the University Service Award by going online to <www.sa.ucsb.edu/osl/awards/university> for the form. Qualification requirements are also listed at this site.
Associate Dean of Students Carolyn Buford chairs the awards committee this year, and questions not answered by the Web site can be addressed to her at x8749 or buford-c@sa.ucsb.edu.
