Nominations for UCSB’s highest recognitions for faculty teaching—the Academic Senate’s Distinguished Teaching Awards—and for teaching assistants will open on Oct. 10. Deadline for teaching award nominations to reach the Senate office at Girvetz Hall 1233 is 5 p.m. on Oct. 28.

The Senate will recognize one non-Senate faculty member and up to five Senate members who have taught a minimum of three academic quarters at UCSB (including the current one).

Nominations must include a brief letter outlining reasons why the candidate is worthy and filling out an online nomination form. Further details can be found on the Senate Web site <http://www.senate.ucsb.edu>.
