| A new home and a new name were bestowed on the Museum of Systematics and Ecology this month. In a stylishly renovated section under the South Harder Stadium bleachers, campus officials and a full house of staff, friends, and supporters thanked the Vernon I. Cheadle family and other donors for the campus’s rechristened Vernon and Mary Cheadle Center for Biodiversity and Ecological Restoration. Traveling from Kentucky for the opening were the Cheadles’ son, far right, back row, Dr. William G. Cheadle and his son, Jack, and, in front of them, William’s wife Mary. Center Executive Director Jennifer Thorsch is third from the left in the front.
