Women Authors Inspire UCSB

For the 10th year UCSB women authors were saluted by the Women's Center. Eight of the 15 authors and/or editors in the program were present to hear Chancellor Henry Yang say, "Your collective voices give us inspiration." They were, from left after Chancellor Yang, Daphne Bugental, psychology; Eve Darian-Smith, law and society; Katharina Schreiber, anthropology; Maria Herrera-Sobek, associate vice chancellor; Naomi Iizuka, dramatic art; Rebecca Zwick, Gevirtz Graduate School of Education; Sabine Frühstuck, East Asian languages; and Sarah Lindheim, classics. Executive Vice Chancellor Gene Lucas also greeted the authors.
