Voters Go to PollsTomorrow, Oct. 7, is California's recall election. Absentee ballots not already sent in can be turned in at the voter's precinct poll on Election Day.
In addition to the question of recalling state Gov. Gray Davis or not, voters will decide on two initiatives: Proposition 53, which channels 3 percent of the general fund into improving infrastructure, and Prop. 54, which would bar the gathering of race- or ethnic-based demographic information by state agencies, with some limited exceptions.
