UCTV Secures Time Block on Local Chan. 21Starting on Tuesday, April 1, Santa Barbara and Goleta residents can catch UCTV every night of the workweek from 8 p.m. to midnight on Santa Barbara Community Access Channel 21, available on Cox Communication's basic cable tier. Viewers can also see UCTV on the same channel every Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon.
UCSB is a prolific contributor of programming to UCTV, and the month of April is no exception. Some UCSB highlights for the month include: "Jihad: The Rise of Militant Islam in Central Asia" (April 4, 9 p.m.); "To The Best Of His Ability: The Reagan Presidency" (April 9, 10 p.m.); "An Afternoon With the Writer: Sebastian Junger" (April 13, 8 p.m.); "Executing Justice: Gerry Spence and Judge Alex Kozinski Debate the Death Penalty" (April 23, 8 p.m.); and "Still Alive: A Holocaust Girlhood Remembered" (April 25, 10 p.m.).

Prior to April 1, UCTV aired on Channel 21 at various times and days throughout the week. With the shift to a consistent, prime-time schedule, more of the cable-connected will see the variety of educational programming that emerges from UC Santa Barbara, other UC campuses, and affiliated institutions.
