Planning for last
Friday's UCSB open mike teach-in on aspects of war with Iraq required
faculty, staff, and student cooperation. At left, facing group,
sociologist and organizer Thomas Scheff discusses potential speakers
with Charles Bazerman, chair and professor of education, who is
holding papers. The Associated Students provided logistical support
and its officers helped run the rally. Other rallies are under
consideration.
