  • BUILDING MANZANITA VILLAGE
Carpenters straddle beams on one of the three groups of student residential units that will compose Manzanita Village, rising adjacent to San Rafael Residence Hall, back right, on the bluffs of the Main Campus. An expanded Carrillo Dining Commons, center back, will serve both complexes. The first 500 students are expected to move in by fall 2002, according to Chuck Haines, project analyst for Housing and Residential Services. When finished, the 17 new three- and four-story units will increase the number of student beds by 800.
