Open Enrollment Details Sent
As of this week, eligible employees will start receiving information in the mail about UC open enrollment, which runs Nov. 1 through midnight on Nov. 30. This is when changes can be made in medical, dental, vision, and other benefit plans, including the addition or deletion of eligible partners or family members.
Employees who have not received this information by mid-November and believe that they should have, are encouraged to contact Human Resources' Benefits Office at x2489 or x2042, said Tricia Hiemstra, UCSB benefits manager.
This year's packet will be less detailed than previous years' but still will include a personal statement of the individual's plan choices. Systemwide benefits noted that no more than 5 percent of employees make changes during open enrollment, so they hoped employees would turn to UCbencom
<http://www.ucop.edu/bencom/oe> for the details.
Open enrollment information meetings on campus are also scheduled over the next few weeks, Hiemstra noted. Starting at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 1 and repeating at the same time on Nov. 5, these sessions will be held at the HR Learning Center, SAASB 3101.
