Tuesday, Nov. 6, is election day for Santa Barbara and Goleta, and polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Registered voters within the boundaries of the proposed city of Goleta will vote on the new city and select five council members.
City of Santa Barbara residents will vote for a mayor and three council seats. Absentee ballots must be received no later than 8 p.m. on Nov. 6 at any county polling place. For details go to
