Staff Award Nominations Due March 16
You know the year is passing at warp speed when the time comes for a new round of nominations for the Staff Citation of Excellence and you think, "Didn't we just do this?" It is that time again.
March 16 at 4 p.m. is the deadline for nominations to get to Jill Singletary, the UCSB Staff Assembly coordinator for the awards program. She can be reached at
singleta@lifesci.ucsb.edu
or x7725. The upcoming issue of Staffbreak will also have the nomination form.
Nominations for the citations, which come with a $500 award, must follow a specific protocol. Those that do not follow the guidelines will not be considered, warned Singletary.
The primary guidelines require that nominees be career or contract staff not on probation; they cannot be from the Senior Management Group or a Management Senior Professional.
Nominators must gather two other endorsements, and one of the three must be a peer of the nominee. The form the nominator follows and the two endorsement letters must not exceed one page each. The forms and letters will not be returned.
Singletary is also recruiting the selection committee for the citations of excellence. If interested, get in touch as soon as possible.
