    UCSB Librarian Sarah Pritchard surprised geologist Bruce Tiffney, former chair of the Academic Senate's library committee, with what she called "a paleobibilographic fossil." The refinished card catalog unit saluted the professor who had served five years as the research library's most ardent advocate. Recently, he was appointed to the systemwide Academic Senate's Committee on the Library.
